As Jean 2 returns for her first full week of school, my kids and I get to enjoy a few more days of summer. The girls (Bria and Nicki) went to pick up schedules, meet teachers, find classrooms, practice opening the locks on their lockers and seeing friends. Ryan find out his classroom teacher Tuesday and do the "meet the teacher" thing on Wednesday morning, Christi will do the same thing Tuesday night. Everyone is very excited about school, their friends, new things to learn (Bria starts Algebra this year) and the activities. I, along with the kids, love the start of a new year. I always loved school, was so excited for the first day of school, the potential for new friendships, the socializing and fun....I get that same excited feeling for my kids. I am so happy that the kids love school as much as I did. I have so many fond memories of school and know that my kids are making their own memories.
Tomorrow we are shopping for things to pack for lunch and more clothes shopping (girls still have money) and Wednesday I'm taking the girls for their annual back-to-school manicures. Here's to our last few days. :)

Yes-enjoy those last few precious days. Sounds like you will. I am a sucker for the first part of school too. I guess that is good! :) I just wish it was more about apples and pumpkins when we start instead of 100 degree weather!
