Jean 2 here. Today was the first day of school. I had a great day but of course completely wiped out. What teacher isn't on the first day? Or heck, any day for that matter? I honestly do not know how I am going to keep up with all the grading and organizing that reading/language arts requires but I DO know that I enjoy this age of kids and for the most part....I think they enjoy me. I plan on keeping track of my year as much as possible throughout this blog.
All of my own children had a good day at school as well...and I managed to not embarrass them too much today since I am officially in the same building as them. But wait until I wear my birkenstocks-which will be tomorrow with my Friday jean day-love those! :)
The girls HATE my birkenstock shoes along with some of my friends....Jean 1 included-which makes them all that more fun to wear! :) Jean3 likes them and I have found a few others...and since the superintendent announced a new raise for everyone two days ago-perhaps a new pair a month to help with my collection. I am having fun with those-so leave me a comment and let me know what YOU think of Birkenstocks. And FYI for those of your that have never tried them-they are WONDERFUL if you are on your feet all day and contrary to what a few others think...adorable as well. hee hee
Here is to ANOTHER great day tomorrow and TGIF. :)

Great Idea..."The Daily Teaching Journal." :-)
And...Wear those Birkies with PRIDE, Jean 2!!! You need a Hot Pink pair for when you are REALLY wanting to make a statement! Or maybe bright yellow. LOL
I think Birkes are the most comfortable shoes. Maybe a lime green pair. I am also a Bjorn fan, and I could list a few more. I love shoes. Back to the colors, which color do you have or maybe it is colors? Glad you had a good day.
I currently have white and black. I am wanting Navy, Red and Gray. Once I get the *BASIC* colors-I am going for red patton with white polka dots, purple with green stripes, you see where I am going with this...LOL! Thanks for the positive comments. :)
I am glad school has started off well. I look forward to hearing how your students that you have had in 1st, 5th and now 6th perform in your new enviornment. And as to the Birkies...well, I might have to rethink my opinion...I saw this lady the other day wearing a pair of white ones (like the ones you have) and she said she just loves them, she's so thankful to her great-grandkids for giving them to her for her 90th birthday. ;)
Oh Jean1-will your jealousy ever be satisfied? :)
