"You do it better than me"

This is Jean2-I am going to let you in on my "dirty little secret." I detest errands and doing overwhelming jobs by myself. My DH simply loves to do these things. Don't get me wrong-I do like things to BE DONE! I just don't want to do them! Jean1 will back me up on that one. My DH just loves to see "how much he can accomplish in a day" while he wears me completley out. I will be sitting on the porch swing reading a novel and relaxing while he is pulling weeds or landscaping and I ask him "Why do you like to do that stuff so much?" and that is when I get the answer of wanting to accomplish something. When he does ask me to do an errand-I simply cringe and ask him why he can't do it himself. I am not a lazy person. I like my house to be clean, things to be organized (although Jean1 often organizes things for me). As I said-I like things to be done-but I don't enjoy doing them. I am a teacher and mom of 3! There is no laziness in that. I usually stay on top of the laundry and housework because that is just a personal thing with me-as Jean1 will agree with-I am often called a CLEAN FREAK and sweat bullets if there is lent on the carpet or dust on the furniture!!Jean1 has threatened to dump lint in my house and blow dust on the furniture just for her pure entertainment. It is a disease and I need help. I don't care if others keep their house clean or not. Not my concern. I usually can relax more in other peoples homes. I just can't relax unless everything is clean in my own home. I never start a unique project or create something like so many of my other friends do because I find it OVERWHELMING and I immediatley need someones assistance. Would I like to be able to change? Sure!! Anyway, if I can get someone to do something for me-I am all about that! I am queen of saying to Jean1 "but you do it better than I do" when dealing with those OVERWHELMING chores. I have done this to her since HS. She is now starting to make me GROW UP and do things by myself or rather she has threatened to--which by the way Jean1-I don't appreciate that! But she will agree I prepared her for her DH-him and I are often called helpless by her and the opposite sex versions of one another. I say "hey -you must be attracted to helplessness." Oh-my DH is currenty powerwashing our vinyl siding-gotta love that man!!

Jean1 here...it's not just being a clean freak...it's obsessive compulsive! And yes, Jean2 did prepare me for my DH....she taught me how to not explode when I have to do EVERYTHING! Gotta love it

You didn't add that you've dusted at six in the morning before going to work. I think the world should know the extent of your 'illness'. How can you even stand to visit my house? If you come over soon, I'll let you walk around and blow clouds of dust off my shelves.

Jean1-must you always LABEL me?LOL You always have a label for all my illnesses. I must go and write a blog about labels! And Stacey-I am very comfortable in your home just so ya know-you and Jean1 should know that I make myself completley at home wherever I am at. I am most worried about what kind of food you have in your house or what there is to drink.

You are a clean freak! I can remember the times, when you would get into my car and freak out. "When was the last time you cleaned the inside of your car? You need to keep baby wipes in here to wipe it down!" Okay, yes my car was a mess, probably still is compared to Donna, but at that time I was a single parent with two kids. Just think, Donna what it looks like now that I have four kids!EWWWWW!
