Jean1 here while Jean2 is off cavorting with DH and bloglets. She is having a good time, but more importantly, she is picking out our traditional souvenir. We established a great tradition about 12 years ago. It started out of a desire to bring something back, but a lack of cash flow...So I picked up a magnet for her...a REALLY ugly magnet just to be funny. Kind of one of those "my friend went to Florida and all she brought me was this ugly magnet" things. So, she went somewhere and brought me a really ugly magnet and so it began and now continues.....What we've given each other:
1. Ugly Florida magnet
2. Bulldog magnet
3. a cactus wearing a sombrero
4. Petrified wood butterfly
5 another ugly magnet from mexico, but she'll have to remind me what it was...other than ugly
6. A Indiana hoosiers magnet

we'll fill in the list as we obtain or remember old ones.....

Hey, I'm Stacey, a friend of Jean 2. I had to laugh about the magnets...one of my old roomates had this hideous ceramic rooster and an equally hideous ceramic african american cupid that she insisted on displaying in our apartment. It was a souvenir tradition with one of her friends...find the tackiest thing possible. And 12 years later, they're still prominently on display, just like your magnets, I'm sure!
I hear that you and I would be good friends. Be sure to look for the ugliest magnets on her fridge and you'll have a little sense of me. :)
