I have discovered a new book..."Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. Some deep thought processes in the book and it has been a challenge for me personally but I am determined to finish it. She is an inspiring author.
Planning my next unit for my class. I will be teaching a "Holocaust" unit. We will start with "Number the Stars" and then I plan on having them read a book from a German girl's perspective. I am amazed just how brainwashed the German children were...they actually thought that killing the Jews was necessary. Some actually turned in their parents for harboring Jews and their parents were shot as traitors. So very sad. Sad times that make me want to just be thankful to crawl into my warm bed every night. No worries other than having to get up early.
I had breakfast with my mom and sister this morning with daughter J and stepdaughter B. It was a nice outing before getting groceries.
I have a long week ahead of teaching, ballgames, my book club...and I don't feel geared up for it. I feel rather blah.
It was a nice day here in our neck of the woods-I opened the windows and turned on the attic fan.
I burned all my CD's into my music library. Why haven't I done this before now? I have no idea.
Maybe because I didn't have to clean my baseboards today and I had the time. Nah-I wouldn't have cleaned those baseboards.
We ate at a new food place last night as a family just to try it. "Red Robin". Good food. High prices for a hamburgar and fries. A new experience though.
We went to the mall and J got her winter formal and shoes for next Saturday night. Nothing like last year. She managed to find her dress within 30 minutes and it wasn't expensive at all. Royal blue dress and silver heels. She looked so pretty and too grown up. She will be announing the coronation again.
Eating. I have been eating too much. I am not sticking with Body for Life AT ALL. I started exercising again though. I desire to be healthy but I have a serious love affair going on with food right now. Bad habits that I developed over the break therefore I now crave pasta, Chinese and chocolate like never before. :)
That's all.

mmmmm, sounds like a couple of delicious days. I know that sushi and I are very close friends these days. LOL
We do need to get back on the BFL wagon though, I'm starting to think ahead to our next trip. :)
Oh me too. I can't wait. The trip will begin to consume my thoughts about March! :)
I totally agree with you about food consuming thoughts. I really like those hershey sticks and then dip those in my coffee. Yum. I too am feeling rather blah. I am hoping to get back on weight watchers and in a regular routine and that will help. I loved Number the Stars, such a good book. That will be an emotional unit.
