Jean1 was right-it is beginning to look A LOT like winter. Today was a day off for me and the girls. My hubby went in early like he does every Monday and then met us at the mall around 1:00. We had lunch, went our separate ways and shopped. We left the mall around 6:00 and had dinner at an Italian place. Not a care in the world. The drive was fine on the way home. All the girls were with me and hubby followed us. He tried to call me to inform me our roads and hill that leads to our house would MOST LIKELY be slick. But his cell was dead. I have never been good driving on ice. Ever. I have had many *incidences* with it but God has always protected me. I had no idea it was THAT slick. My car gave me a warning sign...low traction....but I didn't heed the warning. So-off we go sliding down the hill in my brand new car. I knew the girls were scared. No one screamed but there were naturally some gasps and fear. I told them it was fine, we would be fine and I honestly KNEW we would. I felt peaceful but just ready for the car to stop. We were heading for a tree on one side, a 15 ft drop and fence on the other side....I stopped the car before we hit either of these things.
I wasn't being as safe or careful as I should have been going down the hill like I did. The IMPORTANT thing is we are ALL okay. A little shook up but okay. Our wonderful neighbor helped us out. My husband is currently meeting the tow truck driver to have the car towed to our house. I don't know the damage but I know there is some. I love my car but it is replaceable. We are not. Thank you GOD! ;)

Reminds me of that song"Jesus Take the Wheel" Glad you are ok. You're right the car is replaceable. Maybe you will have a snow day tomorrow to chill out and relax some. Hope your car is ok too! Have a good day.
"Ditto" to what Erica said! I'm glad to hear you all made it home safely!!! I love you and would miss you something terrible if you were to leave the world this soon. So slow down...;-).
I'm so thankful for God's mercy...and his protection. I'm happy that you are all safe. And one more thing.....Whew!
