I am having a fabulous weekend and it is very well deserved I might add. ;) I have been putting in some extra hours helping with the cheerleaders.
Yesterday I had lunch with one of my bestes friends from HS-MICHELLE- and we went and had our nails done. She has never had her nails done. Can you believe that? A nail virgin I said. I had the most fun helping her choose the length and style, but I insisted on choosing the color. I usually am an OPI girl, but I went with China Glaze -they have a color titled "I AM NOT BITTER"-I love the funky titles. I used to get my nails done all of the time but due to money and time-I just stopped. We were cracking up the nail ladies and other customers with our antics. Hey-we were in HS mode-because we could be. She said she felt all "Donna'd up"-but next time-she is picking the color. I am nervous. lol We have a standing date every two weeks to get our nails done until softball season starts (yes-we have not given that up yet) and then I will introduce her to the wonderful world of pedicures!! Love them! Although- I am struggling texting and typing with nails. I will perservere though!
After lunch and nails, I met Jean1 for some fun grocery shopping-always fun with her. Time flies-you get what you need and laugh while you are getting it.
I ran into Connie ( a friend from Wal-mart) that we have recently reconnected more and I had the opportunity to congratulate her on passing her nursing test. An impressive accomplishment with a hubby and four children.
This is the weekend without the kiddos, so hubby took me out to eat at a fancy rest. for Valentine's Day-are you ready for this? You are going to be so jealous...
HARDEES! I finally got to try the infamous thickburger and loved it. He said nothing is to special for me. We had a nice evening laughing about our "date."
My hubby drives for Fed-Ex. Our first Valentine's Day he took me to a truck stop and I had bisquits and gravy. I won his heart then-well-before that I have no doubt. :) I love truck stops and little dive places to eat-they usually have the best comfort food. I am not in to spending a lot of money on food. I like to eat out-but you can do it cheap!
The next Valentine's Day-we were engaged-and he took me to ANOTHER truck stop-we just laughed because he was actually making a run to these towns and I just joined him. We have since eaten at many different places for the Holiday-this is our tenth Valentine's Day together-but Hardees just reminded me that hey-I like nice things-and my nails done-but I am low maintenance when it comes to food. He loves me and my nails.
Today hubby and I are meeting mom for lunch and then I will meet Jean1 for a trip to the library and some catching up on our lives-it has been WAY TOO LONG. Yesterday! ;)

That sounds like some dates Aaron and I have had. The first time we went out after Ben we went to Shoneys. Yum! I had the french dip and dessert. Must have been good cause I still remember what I ate. We also went to Farm and Home to get him some jeans. So I guess I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to that stuff. I could have had a sandwich from a gas station and it would have been awesome! Glad you had a good weekend.
