YES!! I have perservered! I am officially done with my shopping. And I must admit I am a little sad. I am a shopper at heart. And once the budget is spent and all is well with my buying presents for my dear loved ones, I feel lost. I hear some people say they dread the long lines, the mass chaos, and the faces of desperation on the people trying to hunt and purchase that last gift. My husband and I have plotted out strategies and spent MUCH time at the mall and enjoyed every last minute of it. Of course, I am still anticipating Christmas but this small part is done and I don't necessarily feel the relief I should. Once Christmas is over, I will once again hit the mall in search of those long awaited after Christmas specials. ;) Nothing like a good deal.
I have had a wonderful Holiday season so far and it promises to be a blessed Christmas. My daughter loves Christmas with every ounce of her being. She looks under the tree, counts her presents, shakes them and does her best guessing. I just smile at her knowing that I will love to see the look on her face Christmas morning. We all realize that there is more to Christmas than opening the gifts. Such a special feel of giving in the air. I am working on not being an *almost giver* and following through on the giving that is placed on my heart. I have had some good idea on how I can give to some special students of mine without hurting their pride and them not knowing who the gifts come from...the problem is...not in enough time...but next year I will not be an *almost giver*! I will perservere. And remember that giving just isn't at Christmas time.

That was a sweet post. I dread shopping, and in fact I am still not done and I needed to be done 3 days ago, but what can you do? I do love to see my kids faces on Christmas morning. Makes it all worth it.
I *heart* shopping. Probably went a little overboard this year, but once you start spending, it's verrrrry hard to quit. And just so you know, I accomplished every bit of my shopping with only ONE trip the THE MALL (which was two horrible, hellish hours).
I too have loved the whole shopping thing, and even the gift wrapping. I am also done, and happy to be done so that I have a bit of a rest before I do the day after shopping. :)
