The next step....

I felt since I was doing so well working on my body that I owed myself a little check up. Not that it was a treat. There is NOTHING I dread more than blood being removed from my body. Okay-maybe surgery! EEEKKKK Anyway-I had the day off after a late night of PT Conferences that went very well-another day, another blog.
I slept in. Got up. Thought about cancelling my wellness check up but I never have another chance to do it-so I forced myself to go on this chilly, stay in the house and drink coffee and read day. My daughter J went with me for support-I didn't make her but she wanted to go and I was glad. We had some quality time together as she babied her mother. LOL
I get there early to fill out all that lovely paperwork. They call my name and one of the girls I went to school with was back there. What a blessing! We have always joked around and bantered back and forth and I currently have her daughter in class. She talked me through it while the DREAM lab girl who didn't hurt me AT ALL took my blood. I didn't get cold/clammy until it was over. Then I had to lay down. I felt like such a baby. And I was. Then I talked to the doctor and found out I needed a tetnis (spelling?) shot. Fine. Might as well. Found out I needed to fast to get my cholesterol checked-ARGH! I have to go back to get that done. After all was said and done and I did lose 5 lbs (YAY) -the girl I went to school with brought me a good girl balloon and a little Winnie the Pooh. A well deserved treat don't ya think?
I am being test for kidney/liver dysfunction, blood sugar levels, and thyroid. Pray all goes well for me. I will keep you informed you faithful readers!
Stay tuned for PT conference blog. Oh the joy!

I'm proud of you for going through with the bloodwork. I know it is a difficult thing to go in and intentionally do, but so worth it.
