It's Halloween tomorrow, which in our house means trick or treat day. We are not at all into the scary items, horror costumes nor anything that contributes to nightmares or scary thoughts. But we are into candy and costumes. This year my eight-year-old Ryan asked if we could skip trick or treating and instead find something less scary to do while still getting to wear a costume. Sure! We found listings for local trunk-n-treats that are being hosted by local churches and voted on one. My kids are very excited! And I am relived. In the past I've been in charge of going up to each house before the kids to check for scary noises, skeletons and such before they would approach the house. While I am glad to do what I need to make my kids feel safe and protected, I am thrilled to be able this year to just walk car to car in a safe and friendly environment for myself and my kids. Tonight I'll tuck in my little Princess Aurora and Captain Jack Sparrow with an easy mind for myself as well as them.

Great idea! Sounds like fun. My little Princess Jasmine and (Red) Operation Overdrive Power Ranger are looking forward to tonight, too.
Boo to you, too! Love the decorations here:-).
I love the new background of ours! Tonight hubby and I will be staying in...AAAAHHHHHH...while the girls go do things with their friends. Who knows...we might just have trick or treaters that we can SCARE! hee hee
