Jean2 here. My life has been a whirlwind and it is now coming to a halt. I feel FREE and I don't quite know what to do with this newfound freedom. I have cleaned, organized, and done some computer shopping ( a new hobby of mine). Jean1 and I took some stolen time yesterday for a July pedicure and lunch! :)
I have truly found a great exercise I love. I have been working out with a good friend of mine three days a week-the workout program is called ZUMBA. I am not that great at it-I still need to learn a few moves but it is fun! The important thing is you are moving CONSTANTLY and it takes a lot to make me sweat-and I do sweat. And that is good! I do not see a big difference in how I LOOK but I do in how I FEEL and with my family history-that means a lot.
My family and I are leaving for Florida this Saturday....we have the van rented but few plans....we are going with the flow-spontanity. I like that. We might get to Orlando and find we can't check in to a motel anywhere. And that would not be good. But -we can surely relax on a beach. The main two things we want to do is relax on a beach and go to Universal Studios. We have never been to Florida so an adventure is in store for all. The girls are getting older and this might be our last BIG vacation...so we will make sure and enjoy it. Hopefully. I do know one thing...it will cost A LOT! Although I teach summer school so we can have extra money to do fun things in the summer...it is hard to see it all go in a week. But I am grateful we have it to spend.
Any big vacation plans bloggers?
Another update is I have officially moved to the MS. I was overwhelmed when I first saw my room and all the CRAP (if I could remember how to cross that word out -I would and I would replace it with junk-you get the gyst) that was crammed in my room in a very unorganized fashion. But oldest stepdaughter and I worked on it for four hours (much appreciation to her as she saw the tears welling in my eyes and patted my back and said it would be okay-LOL) and then DH came over and helped after work. He is fantastic. He has come up with a great idea for the old, rustic room. And I can't wait to get started. We now have it looking like MY room with MY things and many other things THROWN AWAY. I am all about the *bare necessities* and it looking *clean and organized.*
The old building I am in holds many memories for me and my family. The fact I was educated in this room as a child is even more special to me. At that age and time....I wanted to be a teacher and I am here to say I am glad that dream is fulfilled. I hope I don't eat these words as I start the MS position next year. :)
Summer has been here for many...but it is just beginning for me. Enjoy all and share your big plans with us. :)

Happy Summer to you! I know you'll have many gut-wrenching stories to tell after your 17 hour drive for vacation! Have fun and try to "go with the flow"...and for goodness sake, just look at the corn and say "nice!". :)
Ha ha! No looking at corn and saying *nice*-I am just HOPING he doesn't have the nerve to bore me with such trivial things. LOL I am taking books and my IPOD. I do hope to survive this trip a little better this time. :)
Oh I am jealous. Florida. The Beach. Florida. The Beach. Ahhhhh. Good luck w/ the hotel room. We went to Gulf Shores and didn't have a room, but of course it was a year after a major hurricane. Could of had something to do w/ it. We were able to find one just as Aaron was about to turn the Suburban around and head north. This year we did the St. Louis zoo, magic house, arch trip. My kids are too little to do much more driving than that. We are going camping, taking out the boat, and a few day trips to KC. I love being that close. Sorry to hear about your room disaster. I am sure you made it look awesome. If I remember correctly your first grade room was kind of a mess when you first saw it, and by the time you were done it looked awesome. I remember those MS rooms. Mine over there took lots of work. In the end it was ok. I do suggest a dehumidifier.
