Technically summer is not here but the emotions and feelings are in the air. We are officially OUT OF SCHOOL here in our small town. :) The girls and I are just going to hang out and have friends over. That is our big plans this summer. With the rising gas prices-that is all I have to offer to them. We still plan on our vacation to Florida and are currently taking a collection for gas money for that trip. LOL I try not to gripe about things that our out of our control-God always provides-but I am a little upset with the price of gas. Have you noticed? If not-I AM UPSET WITH THE PRICE OF GAS.
I often wonder who my DH and I think we are. We drive around in our big trucks-both of us and use gas like it is water. Something has to give.
I really don't mind staying home. We are blessed to have a pool, many friends, cell phones, computer, TV and books. Life will be just fine. The trips to the mall will be kept to a bare minimum and if we do go-a cheap meal at Taco Bell will have to suffice. Do I sound poverty stricken? Perhaps I do. I am really not but I am smart with my money and with having three girls at the ages they are-just going to the mall, eating out, and PAYING FOR GAS cost me $50 easily. UGH!
So-having friends over and baking brownies, taking walks, going to the library and laying low is the plan. I am teaching summer school-that is always extra money that is easy to make. :)
Anybody have any ideas for me NOT going stir crazy by staying home more this summer? Oh-I did forget one idea-going to Jean1's house for her famous egg salad sandwiches. Anybody else I can mooch off of? :) Happy ALMOST summer to everyone!!

I'll make the egg salad and sweet tea, you make the brownies and ..uh...ummmmm...what else is it that you make? Oh yeah, Casey's pizza. :)
Good Summer to you, oh lucky one already out of school.
Hey-I also make a mean Tuna Helper and a my beer bread is *the bomb* around here. :)
Well--you could always drive my candle up here to me if you earn enough in summer school to pay for your gas. LOL. If you drive all the way up here, I'll even make the brownies. You could just sit and look pretty. Or sleep...like you did the whole first day of your trip to CA! (maybe it was just 1/2 a day!) LOL
Love ya!!!
I would love to take you up on that Kizzy72. If I do come, you will baby me?? You don't know what you will be getting yourself into. LOL
Luv ya too.
(as I'm packing my overnight bag), I'm in, let's gas up the van and take a day to drive up there. :)
(like i'd let you go without me)
I am right with you on the gas prices. With packing and moving and the trips to OK for job interviews and house hunting, we are putting $750 in my gas hog a month! OUCH!
oh no shawna...maybe we all need to go Amish. :)
