Happy New Year

Jean 1 here. Happy New Year to all our friends, family and those of you who read but choose to keep yourselves cloaked in mystery. Glad you all stop by our little blog home and hope you continue to visit us throughout the year.
Jean 2 and I were discussing our hopes for the upcoming year, and this blog made it into our topic of conversation. We both felt we wanted to continue writing, and hope we will be able to contribute more frequently. If you all have questions you would like to ask please do so and we will endeavor to answer to the best of our ability...or we'll make something up.
So, after reviewing the past posts, I find that I need to update a little. Here are the highlights:
1. Mexico was nice, although it rained more than we expected. This was our third trip and found the hotel left a lot to be desired. However, in the scheme of things, anywhere that I am not doing my own cooking, cleaning and entertaining is a mighty fine vacation to me!
2. Christmas was lovely. We spent the entire day in our jammies just having family time. Everyone was happy with their gifts.
3. New years eve was spent with sis and brother in law. Not a lively evening, but a nice calm evening that had plenty of good snacks and soda. Older two went to our city celebration with their youth group...they had a wonderful time.
4. Tomorrow is my second daughter's b-day. She will be 12 years old....arg!
5. I got a fun new gadget for Christmas from my hubby...the Cricut (a scrapbook die cut tool) love it.
6. I am learning to knit, as Jean 2 mentioned. I stayed up last night knitting five rows and watching Friday Night Lights (a show that I caught on a marathon run on TBS ) until 1 am practicing my casting on and then making new rows. Pictures to follow our first completed items.

Guess that's all for now. Have a great first week of the new year.
