Jean 1 here....
Time is quickly approaching for my departure for another country for a wonderful seven nights eight days with my beloved hubby. So, this of course means that certain things are scheduled to happen....Emergency Home repair, Family illness, lost or broken items that are supposed to travel with me, unscheduled projects that "must get done". LET. THE. FUN. BEGIN.
Last night, I came home, after a quickly scheduled photo shoot to discover a wet patch of carpet in the bathroom. First, I must say "Carpet! In the bathroom! Come on! What would make someone say to themselves..."hmmm, the bathroom is a perfect place to put carpet, what with all the water and steam and possibilities for accidents. Yes! Let's put carpet in the bathroom!" So, I very carefully pull up the carpet around the toilet to discover wet plywood around the base. Yippee for me! (Emergency home repair on target) Soon after discovering water problem I take oldest daughter to her Tuesday night babysitting job. As I am about to pull out of the driveway, one of her charges lets loose with the contents of her little stomach. Three times. I throw the truck in park, jump out and help get the mess cleaned up....and sadly I realize that daughter and I have now been around a potential "flu bug". (Family illness potential)
I am hopeful that either all illness will either be avoided or over quickly, since I do NOT want to end up reviewing the contents of my stomach aboard the American Airlines express to Mexico....nor have in-laws deal with the flu for us. As the excitement mounts about what next I will encounter I will hold my breath within my surgical mask, and work toward a peaceable departure.
