I'm back. We had a great time, it was very nice to get a little away time while still being able to run home to sleep for awhile when needed. Nicki had a wonderful time, she got some one on one time with me and some scrapbook supplies to add to her ever growing stash. I do not have any pictures to post yet, but will put them on here as soon as I get them. Something that I learned, while sitting with my 11 year old daughter, is that I really like to see my daughter grow in her creativity. It was a very rewarding experience. She tried to learn, loved to experiment and enjoyed being with a bunch of adults. They found her "cute", which bothered her a bit, but they soon stopped seeing her as the "little kid" and began to talk to her as a fellow scrapbooker.
I am now looking forward to a grown up only retreat in January, which is a birthday present to myself...at a b&b in Kansas City with some of the women from the retreat.
This week starts my busy week. I go for orientation for Substitute teaching (3 1/2 hrs of regulations, rules, being fingerprinted and training movies...YAWN) and I have a two hour (round trip) drive to my old university to pick up a transcript for my files, come computer work online and also orders for my business. !Whew!
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Can't wait to see some pictures of pages she scrapped! Substitute teaching...brave woman!
LOL...yes, but only subbing up to 6th grade... Can't stand the thought of news media that might follow me after subbing for, say, 9th grade boys. (snicker)
