J is 15. Backing up. Wish I had pics loaded. GRRRR...

Backing up to August 28th (could not go without blogging about this)-this was the night J's dad and I took her to the hospital. She was having stomach pains. Appendicitis was our first thought. We were worried but knew it would be taken care of...we take her to the ER. They do bloodwork. White cell count is up- apparently, that means there is an infection somewhere. They proceed to take her in for a cat skan. Nothing. Urinalysis. Nothing. Ultra sound. Possible cyst on ovary. I have since found out this is common but when it happens to your almost 15 year old daughter it is just scary. J has not been to the hospital since she has jaudice as a baby. She is an extremely healthy and active teenager. This was just a wake up call. A long, emotional night for mother and daughter as these tests are done and she feels in pain as well as violated. As a parent, I now understand what my dad meant when he would be wiping my face as I threw up and telling me he wish it were him. THAT is true unconditional love and THAT is what I have for my daughter. I would have done anything to take that pain away from her. Anything.
Since then for J...
Volleyball practices and games.
Cheerleading practice. Getting ready for STATE-November 14th-WOO-HOO!
Homework. Homework. Homework.
Boyfriend.
Lots of love, tear and hugs from mom as she turns 15...
again, I wish I was like all of you other bloggers and would get my act together with pictures. I have so many GREAT pics of her that I would love to share.
She is getting so good at volleyball. Left-handed spike. Great grades. Loving cheer. Full of life. And well...a fifteen year old.
September 27 ( a month after hospital visit) I had her birthday dinner at a local popular restaurant with 8 of her friends and boyfriend. Her grandparents and immediate family. 2 days before her birthday.
September 29-HER DAY! Her dad gave her a suprise party ( a pic would be nice) after her volleyball game (which was on her birthday) after the game. Pizza, cake and party bags.
Her birthday was celebrated and now on to another chapter in her life...
J at 15...
1. Beautiful.
2. Fashionable. Loves her clothes. Serious business.
3. Cheerleading.
4. Volleyball.
5. Sensitive.
6. In love.
7. Determined. Focused. Driven.
8. BUSY!
9. Moody
10. A lot like her mom, yet so different.

I don't say *in love* lightly. I like and care about her boyfriend a great deal. He is a sweet boy who is very good to my daughter. As a mom, I have the obvious concerns. Said boyfriend did get her a beautiful ring for her birthday. Don't panic. This is not an engagement. Just a ring. A ring that shows he does care. And I see that he does.
HELP!

Wow! Happy B-day J! As for the boyfriend thing, I would say, oh that won't last, but my sister started dating her husband when she was 15 and they got married as soon as she graduated from college, and now they have 2 babies and have been happily married for 6 years. So who knows. It's good you like him;0)
